The ABACUS ™ System rotates your inventory trays to even out usage, reducing wear and abuse of your sets. This balance in usage reduces repair costs, including Laparoscopy and Arthroscopy instruments. The ABACUS System Priority ONE™ records each processing event for each instrument set in the hospitals’ inventories.  Processing frequencies can be established and set to “trigger” the system to notify management when a particular set is due to be refurbished.

(Trays have grown in number of instruments over the years to meet the variable needs of surgeons and in response to the increasing complexity of surgical procedures.  These trays contents have often been duplicated creating inactive instruments that could be removed from the trays to meet backup inventory demands. This would reduce the cost of purchasing new instrumentation. The ABACUS System Priority ONE ™ will identify both inactive instrument sets along with excess and obsolete instruments in the trays. )
