Applied Logic’s integrated hardware, software and service configuration of its core product, ABACUS System Priority ONE™, was specifically designed to target the control of the surgical supply chain. To serve this market, we offer unique products used to track, support and manage surgical inventory across the cycle of operating room and sterile processing department processes. These processes involve moving thousands of highly specialized surgical instruments in trays throughout multiple hospital departments. The Company’s existing technology interfaces with operating room scheduling systems, prioritizes the processing of surgical instrument trays based on the needs defined in the operating room schedule and can track surgical inventory to a specific patient. ABACUS System Priority ONE™ is the first automated system that does this.
The ability to manage hospital resources with ABACUS System Priority ONE™ is accomplished through four important, and interconnected, components: (1) the strategic placement and use of custom all-in-one computers throughout the Sterile Processing Department (“SPD”) areas of a hospital; (2) the client databases within the software product are created and managed on an ongoing basis by Applied Logic; (3) the client hospital personnel are trained, on-site, by the Company’s professional educational specialists; and (4) Applied Logic provides 24/7 client support to assist our hospitals with the complete use, understanding, and even clerical input into the database of ABACUS System Priority ONE™.
